Dressing The Ring Bearer by DapperLads

Lads and lassies dressed up in visions of wedding fancy.  Nothing is more precious or, potentially, nerve wracking.  After ensuring that your selected cherubs are willing to walk down the aisle, the matching of your vision and colors for the wedding and the temperament of the child comes into play. For this article, we are focusing on the ring bearer or page boy.

To tux or not to tux?  Our customers, and even our manufacturers, confirm an abundance of choices for flower girl dresses but not much in the way of choice for dressing the young ring boys beyond the basic black or white tux.  DapperLads seeks to offer more choices for a variety of wedding themes and formalities.

Ring bearers are usually 3-7 years of age.  Page boys hold a long train.  Including the ushers and a coordinated wedding party for pictures is a splendid idea and the purchasers always appreciate not having to break the bank to be a part of the big day. Our solution; begin with the set and add small changes like changing buttons or adding a bow tie or ribbon in wedding colors.

Children's wedding attire needs to be child approved - not too scratchy or "funny" feeling.  Consider the activity level and personality of the young ones.  How fussy or opinionated are they about the clothes they wear?   Let them be who they are.  The cutest photos are often those of children in formal wear without socks or bow tie.

The adorable picture above captures it all.  It is from a shoot for Southern Bride Magazine that DapperLads had the privilege to be a part of.  This sweet laddie is wearing the Boy's Black Vintage Style Knicker Set. Ah L'Amour L'Amour.
